Guitars and Swim Up Bars is an adults-only, all-inclusive group getaway that combines the laid-back luxury of Riviera Maya with the heart and soul of Red Dirt country music. Hosted at El Dorado Royale and El Dorado Casitas Royale, this annual trip has become a tradition for travelers who return year after year for the perfect mix of sunshine, live music, and great company.

Steve Helms
What do the University of Texas, Cat's Baseball, Lone Star Park and the Texas Rangers have in common? The Steve Helms Band and the hit single "Nowhere But Texas".
Aaron Copeland
Aaron Copeland grew up in the small Texas town of Corsicana where he learned to play guitar and piano at a young age and quickly began winning competitions. As a teenager, he played honky tonks with his dad and brothers.
Jamie Richards
There are those rare moments in time when the stars and planets align and something great happens, like when singer/songwriter, Jamie Richards, picks up a pen and paper.
Ben MCPherson
For over ten years Ben took lessons every week, attempting to absorb every bit of knowledge he could. He would listen to Johnny Gimble and Randy Elmore, trying to steal as many “licks” as possible. When Ben was fifteen, he played his first gig in Glen Rose, Texas, with a friend from high school. After performing with him for five months, artist Brady Hulsey asked him to play fiddle for him.
Bo Phillips
Hailing from Stillwater, Oklahoma, Bo Phillips brings an eclectic variety of musical influences with him to the stage. From the first note until the last encore, you can be sure that you will leave with a smile.
Jeff Gilbert
As the owner of Fun & Sun Boats and tackle, Jeff has always had a love for music and has played the drums most of his life. Besides fishing and running two boat dealerships, Jeff enjoys hanging out anywhere there is water, and, of course, if he can carry the beat to a song he will gladly sit in on a session or two.

El Dorado Casitas Royale –
For those who prefer a more secluded, upscale experience, El Dorado Casitas Royale offers the perfect hideaway. Tucked within the same property as El Dorado Royale, the Casitas section features ultra-spacious, suite-style accommodations with private pools, outdoor showers, and access to exclusive pools and lounges.
With all the amenities of the larger resort plus elevated touches like personal concierge service, beachfront Bali beds, and private dining areas, Casitas guests enjoy a more intimate, luxurious retreat—while staying just steps from all the action and live music of Guitars and Swim Up Bars.

What Our Past Trips Look Like

Price is per person (based on 2 people per room)
Payment Plan: Early Bird nonrefundable deposit of $225 per person due at booking for the hotel/events. 2nd nonrefundable deposit of $225 per person will automatically be charged to the card on file the week of October 6 for the hotel/events. After this date, all new bookings will require a nonrefundable $450 per person deposit for the hotel/events. If booking your package with flights, depending on the airline and/or travel insurance, additional deposit will be due at booking of minimum $250 per person. Final payment due March 23, 2026, automatically charged to the card on file unless otherwise instructed. If booking your package with flights, depending on the airline, additional deposit will be due at booking of minimum $250 per person. If adding travel insurance (recommended), additional payment will be due to cover the full cost of the insurance policy. We are able to quote different options after your initial deposit is processed.
